Hi,
I am the latest victim of a virus that has been going around.
Friends who have had this have had to eventually go on antibiotics
as walking pneumonia appears to set in as the weeks go by. I have
been drinking water with Thieves in it, I used peppermint oil
topically while the fever was raging, and I've been applying
Frankinsence for the cough. The cough, however, is not budging. I
haven't slept in days now. I have a humidifier going. What else
might I try to calm the cough (hoping, of course, that the
suggestions are things I already have in my oil collection!)
Thanks so much.
Julie
Hello Julie,
I'm so sorry that you've caught this bug! Please have YL overnight
to you 3-4 tins of the soft lozenges. The first day you get them,
keep one in your mouth all day - yes, you'll probably go through most
of a tin of them the first day. The next day, you'll need a little
less. These 3-4 tins will last you until it's under control.
You may want to use the pneumonia protocol: RC chest and back, Raven
bottoms of the feet, several times a day. Next day switch - Raven
chest and back, RC bottoms of the feet, several times a day,
Switching back and forth, day by day. Use liberally - about 6-8
drops at a time of each oil. (This in addition to the usual - taking
Inner Defense or Thieves/oregano caps - see below)
This really emphasizes the importance of having stuff on hand when you
need it. Please make sure to have an extra couple of bottles of
Thieves, one of oregano, a box (or more) of lozenges, and at least 2
bottles of Inner Defense on hand ALL WINTER.
What we've found is that there is usually a small 2-12 hour window
that you can knock these viruses off if you act in time. If you take
an Inner Defense or a Thieves cap (fill cap with Thieves, leaving a
little room at the top for 3 drops of oregano, and snap shut) RIGHT
AWAY, at the very FIRST symptom, it will almost always work to knock
it off. The longer you wait to act, the less likely you can stop it.
By the time you have to place an order, even if you're getting it
overnighted, it's usually too late to stop it. In that case, you're
going to need RC and Raven to help you get through it, in addition to
Inner Defense, Thieves, oregano, peppermint (for fever), and LOTS of
lozenges.
Here is another fact you need to know - If you need to take Inner
Defense, as a natural anti-biotic, there are 30 caps in a bottle. If
you take the recommended amount of 2 caps 3 times a day, that's 6 caps
a day, and the bottle will last you 5 DAYS. So make sure, THIS
WINTER, to have several bottles on hand. If I so much as get a
scratchy throat, I will put myself on 1 3 times a day until it's
totally gone.
Ramping down - when you use Thieves/oregano or Inner Defense in this
way, it's important that you know that when you go off of it, you need
to ramp down. This means using a little less, day by day, for a few
days. Otherwise, your body may be fighting something off, and if you
go off the supplements suddenly, that virus could multiply quickly,
and you could come down with it. So I might go from 2 caps 3 times a
day to 1 cap 3 times a day for a couple of days, and then to 1 cap a
day for a couple of days...
When I taught a weekend "YL Adventure" last weekend in NJ, I put
myself on 2 caps of Inner Defense 3 times a day as a preventative
because I was traveling, being exposed to air on planes, hotels, etc.,
and I was not getting enough sleep. I started to lose my voice on
both Sun. and on Mon. mornings but it completely stopped, and I was
just fine.
I've been on 1 cap twice a day since, because this next weekend I'm
teaching the same "YL Adventure" in CO and, yes, you guessed it, I'm
not getting enough sleep as there is so much to do to get ready! (I
am having a LOT of fun getting ready, but stress, whether it is good
stress or bad stress acts the same way in the body...) I'm also
taking my Longevity, True Source, MultiGreens, and drinking NingXia
Red to keep my immune system strong. And I'm using lots of oils,
including Stress Away. Yes, I know it's out of stock, but you can
still buy the 3 pack in the Holiday Gift section...
Hope you're feeling better soon!
